Adult Cooking Class Schedule – Fall 2017

You will eat what you make, so bring your appetite!

AMG is also available for private group cooking classes.

What To Expect: Great cooking isn’t about recipes—it’s about techniques. In our classes you’ll work together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors.

  • Classes are 2 hours
  • Hands-on classes are limited to 16 students
  • You will be standing, cooking and working for most of the class
  • Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back
  • You will enjoy a generous taste of every dish
Cancellation: Tuition is non-refundable. However, if you cancel within 46-hours of the class date, you may use your reservation towards one of our future classes within one year of the original class. Or send a friend in your place and receive the recipes booklet to bring home. AMG Catering reserves the right to cancel class. You will be notified via email or phone. Photos from class may be used for promotional purposes.

#1 – COOKING WITH YOUR LATE SUMMER GARDEN VEGGIES – NOW SOLD OUT

Wednesday, September 27, 2017, 7-9 pm

The gardens are overflowing with tomatoes, kale, basil, etc- Learn how to cook delicious and healthy dishes with these garden veggies

      • Kale and sage pesto bruscetta
      • Tomato, shaved fennel and avocado salad with za’tar
      • Curried cauliflower filled twice baked potatoes
      • Basil chicken with garden vegetable “hash”

#2 – MY BIG FAT GREEK FEAST – NOW SOLD OUT

Wednesday October 4, 2017, 7-9 pm

Learn how to make traditional Greek dishes that the entire family will devour

      • Spanikopita
      • Hummus and tzatsiki with spiced pita crisps
      • Pastitsio

#3 – SUSHI and DUMPLING CLASS – $98

Wednesday, October 11, 2017, 7-9 pm

In this very hands-on class we will “roll” all kinds of sushi rolls and make our own dumplings





 

#4 – LET’S CELEBRATE JULIA CHILD – NOW SOLD OUT

In honor of this amazing chef/woman, lets create some fabulous French dishes

      • Chicken pallard with tarragon cream sauce
      • Mushroom and gruyere tartlettes
      • French lentil salad

#5 – AUTUMN SAUCE CLASS – $90

Wednesday, November 1, 2017 7-9 pm

In this class, we will focus on creating sauces and pairing them with the appropriate proteins

      • Bacon-cider sauce
      • White wine and pumpkin sauce
      • Cranberry and mustard sauce
      • Sage and brown butter sauce

      • Perfect the art of stuffed brie “en croute”
      • Bacon-bourbon meatballs
      • Persian “cukes” with somked salmon
      • Figs with goat cheese, pistachio and balsamic glaze

      • We will focus on a chicken, fish and beef dish with accompanying side dishes and sauces.
