Adult Cooking Class Schedule – Winter 2020

AMG is also available for private group cooking classes.

What To Expect: Great cooking isn’t about recipes—it’s about techniques. In our classes you’ll work together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors.

  • Classes are 2 hours
  • Hands-on classes are limited to 16 students
  • You will be standing, cooking and working for most of the class
  • Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back
  • You will enjoy a generous taste of every dish

Cancellation: Tuition is non-refundable. However, if you cancel within 46-hours of the class date, you may use your reservation towards one of our future classes within one year of the original class. Or send a friend in your place and receive the recipes booklet to bring home. AMG Catering reserves the right to cancel class. In the event that the attendance is 4 students or less , we reserve the right to cancel the class and offer you credit or to choose another class. You will be notified via email or phone. Photos from class may be used for promotional purposes.


#1 – Winter Soups and Vegetables
Wednesday January 8, 2020 – $90 per person
7-9 pm

  • Roasted carrot and parnip south with crème fraiche
  • Chicken, bacon and wild rice soup
  • “Creamed” brussels
  • Soy-braised Kobacha squash


#2 – Gluten-Free Winter Fish Class
Wednesday January 15, 2020 – $90 per person

  • We will work with halibut, scallops and arctic char


#3 – Chinese New Years Class
Wednesday January 22, 2020 – $98 per person

Learn how to cook these “lucky” Chinese dishes:

  • Pork and shrimp dumplings for “wealth”
  • Chinese noodles for “healthiness and longevity”
  • Cantonese roasted fish for “prosperity”

#4 – Sushi, Miso and Teriyaki
Wednesday January 29, 2020 – $98 per person

  • Learn how to master some traditional Japanese dishes and “roll” the right way making sushi

Wednesday February 5, 2020 – $200 per couple

  • Baby kale salad with roasted cauliflower, pomegranate seeds, and tahini vinaigrette
  • Beef Wellington with roasted potatoes and baby carrots
  • Vodka chocolate covered strawberries

Wednesday February 12, 2020  – $200 per couple

  • Salmon “poke”
  • Endive salad with toasted walnuts, breadcrumbs, and winter citrus vinaigrette
  • Butter-poached lobster with fresh tomatoes
  • Chocolate-dipped s’mores

#8 – Winter Sauce Class

Master the sauces to make every dish you make taste like you are a professional chef…

  • Roasted fish with a winter-citrus sauce
  • Chicken franchaise with lemon-caper sauce
  • Pasta with broccoli and feta “pesto”

  • Potato-cheddar Guiness soup
