Adult Cooking Classes

You will eat what you make, so bring your appetite!

AMG is also available for private group cooking classes.

What To Expect: Great cooking isn’t about recipes—it’s about techniques. In our classes you’ll work together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors.

  • Classes are 2 hours
  • Hands-on classes are limited to 16 students
  • You will be standing, cooking and working for most of the class
  • Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back
  • You will enjoy a generous taste of every dish

Cancellation: Tuition is non-refundable. However, if you cancel at least 1 week in advance of the class date, you may use your reservation towards one of our future classes within one year of the original class. Or send a friend in your place and receive the recipes booklet to bring home. AMG Catering reserves the right to cancel class. In the event that the attendance is 4 students or less , we reserve the right to cancel the class and offer you credit or to choose another class. You will be notified via email or phone. Photos from class may be used for promotional purposes.

#1 – SUSHI and DUMPLING CLASS – $125

We will kick off the evening with sake-pineapple sangria

  • “Roll “ the night away and learn how to make perfect dumplings too!!



 
#2 – MASTERING THE MEDITTERANEAN – $145

Monday, September 16

7-9pm

Elevate your repertoire with this Mediterranean inspired menu. We will be pairing our dishes with a wine tasting from Sipstirs Wines and Spirits in Wilton

  • Roasted cauliflower with tahini-lemon sauce
  • Keftedes(Greek Meatballs) with herb yogurt sauce
  • Roasted shrimp with Chermoula



 

#3 – “HONE” YOUR KNIFE SKILLS – $110
Wednesday, September 25

7-9pm

This class will focus on professional knife techniques and safety practices while preparing dishes that incorporate many knife skills including brinoise, julienne, batonette and more.

  • Autumn harvest soup
  • Maple-bourbon glazed chicken thighs with roasted root vegetables
  • Simple “tarte tatin”



 

#4 – OKTOBERFEST CLASS – $120
Wednesday, October 9

7-9 pm

Grab your favorite German beers and join is for a night of delicious German treats

  • “Skillet” beer cheese with soft pretzel “bites”
  • “Brats”, sauerkraut and potato “bake”
  • German chocolate truffles



 
#6 – Apples, Apples, and more Apples – $125
Wednesday October 16

7-9 pm

We will kick off this class with a sparkling apple cocktail

Have an abundance of apples from your apple picking trip? Join us and learn how to cook delicious savory dishes with your apple “haul”

  • Apple cider cheese fondue
  • Savory apple thyme tart
  • Almond crusted “chops” with cider sauce



 

 
#7 – DIA DE LOS MUERTOS (Day of the dead- Mexican class) – $125

We will kick off the evening with a champagne margarita

  • Sopa de elote(Mexican street corn soup)
  • “Loaded” queso

#8 –  AUTUMN FISH COOKING CLASS and WINE PAIRING – $160

My clients have been asking for a fish cooking class, and here it is.. learn how to prepare fish at home like a restaurant chef

  • Baked arctic char with bourbon, peach and serrano glaze
  • Lump crab “imperial” ( a New England favorite)

#9 – HOLIDAY “SIDE DISHES” – $120

Tired of your ordinary holiday side dishes? Join us and update your recipe “repertoire”

We will teach you how to “batch” our amazing “JINGLE JUICE” for your holiday guests

  • Hardwood bacon-jalapeno stuffing
  • Roasted broccoli with warm “cambazola” dressing
  • Crispy “smashed” brussel sprouts
